Projects built over
three decades.

A reverse-chronological archive of projects I have led or contributed to - large and small, professional and personal. Some remembered, others inevitably forgotten. A record of the things I have helped bring to life over the years.

The archive

Selected work

ProfessionalBusiness systems

System-M

Co-developer of a company's complete, custom-built administration platform covering ERP, CRM, sales, production, inventory and forecasting. My work included a shared UI and standardisation, PDF reporting, order processing, components and bills of materials, picking and shipping. The project consists of traditional Windows desktop applications.

ProfessionalCloud & hardware

Cigarette vending machines

Co-developer of complete cigarette vending solutions designed and built from the ground up in Denmark, deployed in Netto and 7-Eleven stores as well as selected Swedish shops. I contributed manufacturing and internal service tools, with primary responsibility for the server software.

The server connects the manufacturer's web platform with every machine through databases, the internet and mobile networks, and was later moved to Microsoft Azure. A subsequent display project enabled centrally composed product menus on screens above each machine, reacting to events such as products selling out.

PersonalWeb application

Fotoligenu

A private photo cloud: a web application for cataloguing and presenting my own photo collection from my own server.

In development - planned as an open-source project.

PersonalMusic

Musikidag

The jukebox idea - where everyone helps shape the music - never quite let go. Musikidag became a front end for Mopidy, mixing music from sources such as Spotify and local files. It provided the soundtrack for a number of gatherings, but was never fully completed after Spotify reduced the functionality available to open projects like this one.

ProfessionalIndustrial software

MixoMemory

An administrative layer for concrete batching process control. It manages materials, versioned recipes, production reports and alarms, and exchanges data with plant controllers. The cross-database solution offers extensive reporting and data export, database backup and restore, process control, and interfaces to third-party systems.

ProfessionalHMI / SCADA

Visual VIGO

Contributed to the continued development of components for an HMI/SCADA system used in control and automation solutions based on P-NET fieldbus and hardware.

PersonalDeveloper tool

OneWaySynchronize

A Windows command-line utility for fast, accurate file backup from A to B. It performs the necessary copies and changes - including deletions - so B becomes an exact mirror of A.

ProfessionalTest & calibration

Pressure transmitter test system

An advanced system for testing and calibrating newly manufactured pressure transmitter modules. The installation connects to many modules at once and applies varying pressures and temperatures over an extended period, producing an individual calibration for every module.

Personal2006-2008

mmmJukebox

The latest, current and final generation of Munk's Jukebox.

ProfessionalPLC / HMI

Packaging conveyor control

PLC/HMI control forming part of a larger system that packages yarn bobbins for dyeing. The conveyor transports boxes and carts of yarn to two robots and coordinates the robots with the installation's other moving parts.

ProfessionalProcess control

Centrifuge Controller

PC-based control and monitoring within a larger plant for centrifuging yarn bobbins - removing water and spinning in oil. The controller routes oil to and from the correct tanks, collects and drains waste oil, and configures and monitors the centrifuges. Four PCs each control a section of the plant and communicate through MessageServer.

ProfessionalInfrastructure

MessageServer

An application that simplifies real-time communication between applications on different PCs. Communication is reliable, fault-tolerant and can be logged.

ProfessionalQuality data

Q-Data & ExtraNet

An internal storage and statistics system for quality data (Q-Data), paired with an online customer-facing presentation of the same data (ExtraNet).

ProfessionalMeasurement

Density meter

Software and control for an instrument that uses a laser and scales to measure the density of a yarn bobbin very precisely in grams per litre. Among other applications, it is used for quality measurement.

ProfessionalProduction support

Dye weighing

A PC system assisting operators with the accurate weighing of dyes used to colour yarn.

Personal1999

Munk's Jukebox 2

The next version of Munk's Jukebox - with more design and a little more functionality.

Personal1999

Run The Race

Software for managing recreational races: pre-race administration such as entrant registration and route definition, live race timing and diploma printing, plus printable result lists.

Personal1998

Munk's Jukebox 1

MP3 had just taken off, and every enthusiast was turning CDs into MP3 files. For an IT department party, we knew Winamp would quickly become a musical tug-of-war as everyone clicked their favourites and interrupted whatever was playing.

What we needed was a jukebox: something that collected requests in a queue and chose music itself when the queue was empty. Munk's Jukebox was born during a few evenings before the party, then refined into version 1.

ProfessionalInventory

IT Inventory & Invoicing

An internal inventory system for an IT department's hardware stock, including sales and equipment loans.

PersonalWindows

DateManager for Windows

The DateManager series eventually included two Windows editions, still displaying the week's schedule at startup.

ProfessionalUNIX

LPSS

A large UNIX application suite for payroll and production management in a sewing factory. It covered everything from small electronic operator input terminals to calculating and printing payroll.

ProfessionalGraduation project

HopFast

An application for converting field measurement sheets into invoices and statistics, created as the final project of my computer science programme. The client was a contractor that buried pipes and cables for telecommunications and cable TV providers; the application handled the process's complete administration.

Personal1991-1993

Muzix

A music database for private record and cassette collections, complete with search and printed reports.

Personal1990

DateManager for DOS

A calendar and planning tool that displayed the weekly calendar whenever the PC started.

Personal1991

PrintMester

My first real PC application, heavily inspired by the Commodore 64 program PrintMaster. It was early DOS desktop publishing: full-page posters printed on a dot-matrix printer using a choice of fonts and borders - even with an on-screen preview.
